Salsa Sinners Dance School

In 2016 in close collaboration with Kiki Kakoulis, the Dance School coach and owner, we transformed a former and abandoned industrial building into a contemporary dance school. The school hosted the regular Salsa classes but also accommodated the dance classes of HOPA-Housing of Performing Arts- that were taking place in the spacious dancing hall. The industrial atmosphere was enhanced with the use of corten features to metallic elements such as the radiators, the heavy metallic doors and the metal ballet barres. The wooden floors of both the main and secondary dancing rooms, were painted white to reflect the light. All mechanical piping and electrical networks were visible to showcase the industrial character of the space.
