During the period 1970-1975 as an Associate in the Architectural Office of the Architect P. C. Humblet in Brussels Yannos Yanniotis undertook, between other projects, the architectural study of the Hospital Ourossogui in Senegal. This work was a part of a major Hospital Development Program (de la Region du Fleuve) that was funded by the European Union.
The building program apart from the Administration and Reception halls included the Pediatric, Obstetrical & Gynecology and Pathology departments as well as E.R and Surgeries. Both the above clinics and the wards are evolving around courtyards in ground level buildings that are morphologically integrated in the tropical surroundings of the area.
