Open-air Theater in Valtesinico

In 2006 the Cultural Centre of Vatsesinico in South Arcadia assigned us with the design of an Open-air Theatre situated on “Kronios Hill” in the outskirts of the village. The theatre, with an overall capacity of 800 seats, has been designed in an existing cavity with a breathtaking view over the mountains of Mainalon and Helmos. The theatre was designed in accordance to the classical ancient Greek model. It includes the koilon that would accommodate the stands and the steps, an in-between tier, the orchestra and the proscenium. In the basement, below the proscenium, the restrooms and public toilets as well as for dressing rooms are located.
