In 1996, the Cultural Association of the village of Volaka in Tinos, requested the design of an Open-air Amphitheater with capacity of 500 seats that would be constructed in a plot on the outskirts of the village. The challenge was to integrate the black spherical granite rocks that characterize Volakas Village into the Koilon, ie its adaptation to the natural environment. The theater was completed in 1997 and has been operating ever since, especially during the summer months with troupe performances or as a cultural events space under the auspices of the Cultural Center. It has been repeatedly published in the press.
