In 1994, after participation in an International Call of Interest (Dutch Auction), our practice carried out the restoration of the Mavromichali Building owned by the European Parliament. In 1997, after completion of the restoration our practice undertook the design and construction of a Conference Table able to seat 25 persons. The design should allow for the breaking up of the table into smaller units of conference tables able to seat 8 persons. The oval-shaped table (9.50 m. in length and 2.70 m. in width) was to be made of solid timber covered with rosewood veneer and would be decorated with a bronze edge. After auction the construction was assigned to the well-known house of Kegian Yiagtzian. Pictures of this table were repeatedly published in the print media.
