HISTORY
The "Yannos Yanniotis & Associates" technical bureau was founded in 1977 by architects Yannos Yanniotis and his wife, Vassiliki Yanniotis. Over the course of the last 30 years, the Bureau has handled a significant amount of projects in fields related to: Residential applications, buildings for industrial, commercial and cultural use, reformation of listed buildings, international exposition stands (Thessaloniki International Expo, AGROTIKA, etc), tourist resorts, and hotel installations. The Bureau handled the internal decoration of those spaces, as well.
In 2003, Constantinos Gianniotis, Mechanical and Aeronautics Engineer, and presently a student in the School of Architecture in the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), joins the bureau. In November 2003, Vassiliki Yanniotis passed away, leaving behind a significant legacy.
In early 2006, the "Yannos Yanniotis & Associates" technical bureau and civil engineer Yannis Rentzepis established a new company, under the distinctive name "I. Yanniotis - I. Rentzepis & Co. Ltd.", for architectural services and consulting engineer services which was active until July 2008.
Since then, the Bureau continues its significant work and contribution in the field of architectural design under Yannos and Constantinos Yanniotis’ guidance, with the aid and collaboration of experienced associates. At the same time, the Bureau expands its services into the field of energy management of buildings and constructions, which is one of the most critical sectors nowadays.
The Bureau has taken part in competitions and tenders such as:
1978 "Farmhouse residence" (types of farmhouses based on a building model detailed in the proclamation).
1992 International tender for the reformation of the listed building "Mavromichalis hall", in Amalias Ave., at a European Parliament regional site in Athens.
1996 Tender for the reformation of the listed building at Kanaris Str. & Akadimias Str. (owned by the Civil Servants' branch of the public sector).
In 1995, the Bureau handled the interior design and outfitting of the Yumihari Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, in cooperation with Japanese architect Takashi Hayashi.
Several of the projects that were developed in 1977 - 2005, such as the "I. BOUTARIS and Son" wine factory complex in Santorini, the restoration and reformation of the Mavromichali listed building as a European Parliament regional site, and the outdoor theater in Volax, Tinos, have attracted the interest of journals, magazines, and the press.
