Yannos Yanniotis

Mr. Yannos Yanniotis was born in Thessaloniki in 1945. In 1964, he enrolled in the School of Architecture in the University of Geneva (Ecole D' Architecture De L' Universite De Geneve - Suisse). In 1970, he graduated having earned a degree in Architecture.

He resided in Brussels during the years 1970 - 1975 and was employed in architect and municipal engineer Pierre Camille's bureau, "Pierre Camille Ηumblet Urbaniste E.N.S.A.".

At the same time, he was a student at the School of Municipal Engineering of the University of Brussels (Abbaye De La Cambre). During this period, Yannos Yanniotis drafted the preliminary designs of the student dormitory complex and the application study for the School of Exact Sciences of the University of Louvain - La Neuve (1973 - 1975), among other things. In 1970 - 1972, he was in charge of the application study of the "Hopital Ourossogui" hospital in Senegal, which was funded by the European Community (the predecessor of the European Union) and was part of the "Programme Hospitalier de la region du Fleuve" program.

In 1975, he returned to Greece. Two years later, he set up the "Yannos Yanniotis and Associates" technical bureau, along with his wife, Vassiliki Yanniotis (an architect, as well). In 2003, Konstantinos Gianniotis, Mechanical and Aeronautics Engineer, and presently a student in the School of Architecture in the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), joined the Bureau.

During the extended period from 1977 till today, the Bureau has completed a large number of projects, some of which have repeatedly received press coverage in magazines, newspapers and journals of various sectors such as:

-Residential sector
-Industrial sector
-Tourism
-Culture
-Urban planning
-Reformation of listed buildings

In 1995, the Bureau handled the interior design and outfitting of the Yumihari Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, in cooperation with Japanese architect Takashi Hayashi.

All these years, Yannos Yanniotis was in charge of both design drafting as well as supervision of several projects in collaboration with experienced associates and personnel.
